Our New Pet

Growing up so fast...

Grandma Bonbon, thought it would be funny to give us a new pet. Andrew, is very excited to have him and loves to play with him. He pulls his hair, sits on his paws, and climbs on his back. Jada, is not sure she likes the new addition.

Happy Easter!

For those of you that have heard my story about the very first Easter "The Suit" made his appearance, this year I have pictures so you can cry/laugh/cry/laugh with me. Yes, "The Suit" appeared again this year. I seriously thought about hiding it so I wouldn't have to look at it, but I guess I am just too nice. Erik, found an outfit for Andrew, and couldn't believe I was not dressing up with them...party pooper.

Starting Solids

If I was not a believer in how fast babies change, I am now. It seems like one day Andrew woke up and just does not stop moving until it is time to sleep. He is BUSY! He wants to touch everything, especially when it is in my hand, and I have to be so careful with what he can reach. I know I am his mother, but the boy seems really smart!! He just really is soaking up so much right now. It is also really important to him to have lots of eye contact. So, I try not to be too busy when he is awake so I can do that for him (I mean, hopefully he will not need therapy until at least his 3rd birthday!)

We need to start thinking about child proofing our home because he is working hard on getting mobile. I can already tell I am going to be on my toes, watching every small movement that his busy body makes. If he was not so cute, I might say I fear for the future...

He now sits up by himself.

Getting big!

He and Jada are doing great! She is often near him and is turning out to be a great help and babysitter! Sometimes when Andrew is fussy, she'll come over and he'll stop and just watch her. He laughs when she plays with her toys too!

Since we have been home from Hawaii, I have started solids. For some reason this intimidated me, and I don't know why. But, now that we are under way, I am much more confident and it is going well. So far we have done rice cereal, bananas, peas, and butternut squash. Today was his first day with squash, and he loved it. He has now figured out that he opens his mouth and I put food in. Today was also our first three times a day (I've been keeping it to once a day until I thought I was enjoying himself). I decided I wanted to make his food (instead of buying it at the store), and it is really easy. I freeze most of it in ice trays and take one square out at a time. It works well!

He doesn't usually have it all over his face, but I thought it was funny today.

Hawaii 2010

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. It was great to take a break and have fun. Andrew, loved the warm weather, not wearing anything on his feet, and having lots of attention. I think that was his hardest adjustment when we got home--no longer were there 8 people looking at him. He is a great traveler.
I was also able to see how tall he really is. Brooklyn, is 7 months older, and only a little taller. He loved being with his cousins, and he watched them closely. He was very interested in everything they were doing. And, I could tell the wheels were turning inside his head. Soon he will be able to join in the fun, and play with them.
Here are a few pictures from our trip...
This is B.J. and Sydney. Great picture Nicole!

This was one of our EARLY mornings, up for sunrise.

Cool Dude!
Andrew, loved playing in the sand for short periods.

Sand is good...And, yes, it does come out the other end.

We took a break from the beach and went to the zoo. It was a great day!
Going out on the town looking so cute!

Andrew is watching the fish. He is interested in everything.

Sydney, was wonderful with Andrew. He misses her!
Andrew loved meeting his Aunt Heidi. He always had a smile for her!
Andrew, loved to have one or both feet up on his stroller at all times.
This is how Andrew fell asleep. I knew he was really tired, and I had him laying down, but he was fussy. So, I sat him up, and in .5 seconds he was asleep. I thought the other way would be more comfortable, but I guess not...
Our usual hike to the top of Diamond Head.
Andrew, loved all the attention!

B.J. taking one for the team...the kids loved putting sand in his ears, nose, eyes...

Brooklyn, has the cutest face expressions!
Sydney, can make Andrew laugh like no one else. It was really fun to see how Andrew bonded with Sydney. Thanks Sydney!!
