Nicole was able to take this great picture with a phone. I think it is so cute! We are having more wake time everyday. He loves to just look around. We've also discovered how much he loves us to sing to him. He holds very still and looks right at us, and doesn't start moving around until we stop. It is a great way to begin bedtime.

He loves soft...especially the blanket Grandma Marilyn made him.

The Ride Home...

Finally...I got a change of scenery. Who knew the sun was so bright outside the hospital!

My mom dressed me in my little outfit with horizontal stripes and built-in lion shoes. The shoes might fit for about a week before my feet get too big and we have to cut them off at the ankles. Guess I'll be shoe shopping at king-size magazine someday...

Dad fumbled around with the car-seat for a few minutes in the parking lot while I looked at all the mud caked on the side of the car.

...The ride in the car was great. I didn't fuss at all...

...Even when we were stuck at the drive-through pharmacy for 45 minutes while my mom waited for her medicine.

Drive-thru drugs--I love America!

When I finally got to my house, Grandma Bonnie surprised me with flowers and a "WELCOME HOME" balloon!

She talks and acts like she knows what to do with a baby! Even better, she knows how to jump-in and help my mom and dad make my arrival a little easier...

Dr. Tayler told me I was a little bit yellow, so he had a guy deliver me a light box to sleep on for the next couple of days.

It makes a faint humming sound, and I actually don't mind it too much.

The sheets match the color of the alien-spaceship-blue landing lights, which makes my mom feel very secure knowing I'm color coordinated with my surroundings!

At first I was frustrated that I was too small to get my arms into the little built-in sleeves on my tanning bed, but it only took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to work my arms up in there...then I could reach my arms up near my head, which is my preferred position. Now I can sleep!

Took a nap for about an hour so my mom could get a little rest!

Baby Asarian Arrives!

Here is my first photo! I was only about 10 minutes old. The nurse invited my dad into the nursery to hold me.
Look at the proud look on his face--he doesn't even realize that he's still wearing my mom's tiara that was handed to him before we went into the operating room!!

I am 20" tall and weigh 6 lbs 13 oz.

Then, after the docs sewed my mom back together, I got to finally discover how nice it was to have her hold me!

Even after 18 hrs of labor and plenty of determination and exertion helping me escape from her belly, she still looks beautiful!

I don't hold my head very still...

...so some of my photos are blurry. My neck is surprisingly strong for being such a skinny little guy! I can snap it all around and look in all directions....

I'm really good at arching my back too--which should really help when I'm learning to serve a tennis ball! Look--I can even work my arms and shoulders in perfect unison...

I have just about as much hair as my dad! A little bald in the front, but more on the side and in the back.

It looks like I'm really unhappy, but actually I'm just in mid-yawn.

Note the handsome plastic clip on my belly-button.

That's really comfortable when they wrap me up like a burrito!

I don't sleep ALL the time...just most of the time. When I'm awake, I'm just like mom and dad: calm, quiet, and suspicious of everything in my surroundings!

I really liked meeting my Grandpa for the first time!
